LA Collections Wedding photography in Stoke and Staffordshire

Yesterday I went on a 'reckie' over to Checkley church and the most beautiful Alton Castle, the setting for Sammie & Nathan's wedding,  who tie the know in May. What an amazing place to hold your romantic wedding.

Alton castle is in the village of Alton, Staffordshire. The castle is also known as or referred to in historical documents as Alverton or Aulton. The remains of the castle have been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building. It is also a scheduled ancient monument.

Alton Castle was founded by Bertram de Verdon and built on a rocky precipice overlooking the River Churnet in the 12th century. It was substantially reconstructed during the 15th century and subsequently was damaged during the Civil War. In 1847 it was significantly reconstructed by the Catholic architect Augustus Pugin as a Gothic country house for the 16th Earl of Shrewsbury

I will be down at The Manor House, Hotel, Alsager this weekend for their Spring Wedding Open day. So if you haven't yet booked your wedding venue then come along and have a walk round the hotel. Everything will be set up as if it was a real wedding day.

Steve and I will be there representing our sister company The Guild of Photographers. Our day will be spent training photographers in different aspects of the photographic scene along with Paul Hayley & Phil Drinkwater. I hope the weather stays fine?

Having nearly come to the end of the Spring season of wedding shows, it's clear that the theme which is prominent this year is 'Vintage'

I can't believe how lovely the weather has been over the last week. It really does make you smile – and any one getting married over the months will be finalising their wedding plans.

We had a great day at the www.thestaffordshireweddingshow.co.uk last weekend. We met some lovely couples over the two days we were at Bridegmere and our very best wishes in the coming year to all of you who are getting hitched.

Kerry & Russ Lunn will celebrating their first anniversary this weekend. Have a great celebration!! Lesley x

It was a wonderful day last Sunday over at www.theupperhouse.com The weather was absolutely perfect – just like a Spring day.

I was there capturing photographs of our models. Rachel & Nik and their son Alfie,  Kerry with her son George, Ananstasia and Charlotte along with several members of  The Guild of Photographers who were there on a training day.

We had a great meal at lunch together, and is was good to network with everyone.

Well,  I had a quite a morning with a chat with Lee from www.bbc.co.uk/radiostoke 

We were discussing the importance of choosing a professional, qualified photographer to capture your wonderful wedding day. I am the director of www.photoguild.co.uk  which is a photographic association which is all about delivering quality to the customer.

We hold training days and we linked one of these days in with www.theupperhouse.com and www.thestaffordshireweddingshow.co.uk  to hold a informal photo shoot with a bride and groom on March 11th between 11am-3pm. It will be a chance for those brides and grooms who haven't yet booked their venue or other wedding suppliers including my good self to come along and have a look round.
